Learning to LinkedIn with Robogals CBR and Fifty50

Only 11% of University students are on LinkedIn, and even less proactively create content. With almost all professional recruiters on LinkedIn, now is the time for you to develop your personal brand on LinkedIn, showcase your experiences with Robogals and Fifty50, and stand out from the crowd!

Hosted by Robogals Canberra and Fifty50, this free workshop will assist you in developing:

>> Your understanding of how digital networking (i.e. LinkedIn) is used by graduate recruiters;

>> Set up your LinkedIn profile for success;

>> Rapidly grow your LinkedIn network through networking-skill practice and existing databases;

>> And proactively create content which showcases your knowledge and influences your network!

Aid your graduate employment outcomes by attending this one hour workshop. Stick around for the following half-hour to put new strategies into practice and chat further with our facilitator, and Robogals alumnus, Tim Friel.

About your facilitator:

Tim Friel is a Robogals alumnus and works towards eliminating educational inequity in everything he does. Through formal roles as a science communicator with Questacon, recruitment manager with Teach For Australia, and flipped classroom educator with meriSTEM, Tim has worked with young people from diverse backgrounds and assisted those who do so via training and support. Tim provides workshops and individual coaching on topics involving engaging effectively with young people, facilitating strong university student societies, leadership capabilities, LinkedIn skills and careers counselling, including graduate application preparation. Feel free to get in touch with Tim via email (tim.s.friel@gmail.com) or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/timothy-friel/) with any questions about this session or other opportunities.
